Outdoor Learning day October 2020

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Class 2 Year: 2020 - 2021

Year 2 had a wonderful Outdoor Learning Day!

The children took part in lots of different activities to develop their geography skills throughout the day. They investigated aerial photographs and hunted for landmarks on an aerial photograph of the school grounds. They also learnt about compass directions and gave each other instructions to follow when travelling north, south, east and west. Just before lunch we all gathered around the firepit and enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows. In the afternoon, we thought about human and physical geographical features and found evidence of these around school. Finally, we finished off our day by creating some natural art!
